Thank you for visiting and welcome to our website.
The National Health Funding Body (NHFB) is an independent statutory authority. Our primary function is to assist the Administrator of the National Health Funding Pool (the Administrator) in enabling and supporting more transparent and efficient public hospital funding and reporting. Both the NHFB and the Administrator were created through the National Health Reform Agreement, the National Health Reform Act 2011 and corresponding state and territory national health reform legislation.
Since the establishment of the NHFB in July 2012 we have made extensive progress in delivering key outcomes of the National Health Reform Agreement. We are proud to be working closely with the Administrator to continue to implement and achieve our legislative national health reform goals and to be part of a bold new vision for Australia’s health system.
